Are you interested in joining a 3D Summer Archery League? The summer league runs June, July & August on Thursday nights. Open target practice is allowed seven days a week while targets are up. If you would like more information contact us.
We offer Trap & Skeet Shooting, Leagues are available through out the year. Winter League is held every other Sunday starting January 7, 2024 at 9:00 am and runs through March. Summer League starts May 7, 2024 at 6:00 pm and will run every Tuesday night through the month of August.
Open shooting is always available during League times.
Our Rifle Range is open to all members of the club to use.
The Rifle Range is closed during the summer on Tuesday and Thursday nights for our Trap & Archery Leagues
Throughout the year our raffles, fishing tournament and pheasant program allows us to donate and support many area events and organizations such as the New London ATV/UTV Club, New London High School Trap Team, Golden Girls of New London, New London Adopt a Family, WI Youth Archery, Walleyes For Tomorrow, Wolf River Preservation Association, NLF&G School Scholarships, WI Wildlife Federation, Pheasants Forever, and many more. We even had the opportunity to support a Waupaca County 4-H member attend the National 4-H Archery Shooting Championship in Grand Island Nebraska for the second year in a row!
All of this is possible because of the support we receive from our volunteers and our community.
New London Ice-Out records have been kept since 1851. Early settlers once relied heavily on the river for transportation. In later years it became less important as a means of transportation, and more important for recreational purposes. Each year, anglers await the ice-out to signify the start of the open water season and the Wolf River Walleye Run.
In 1952, New London Fish & Game Club became the official record keepers of the ice-out and have continued to maintain these record books ever since.
At one time the NLF&G Club once held an Ice-Out contest, the winner won a new fishing boat!
When the club started the contest in the early 1950’s they fashioned two dummies named “Pete and Joe” into a boat and placed them out on the ice below the Pearl Street bridge. A string attached to the boat ran to a clock near the bridge, when the boat floated out, the string was pulled and the clock would stop. The official ice out time was then recorded. The club no longer holds the ice-out contest but in the spring you can still find “Pete & Joe” in their boat waiting for the ice to go out.
