Rib Mountain Bowmen

RMB is a 501(c)3 Charitable Organization Archery Club and one of the oldest clubs in Northern Wisconsin by being founded in 1953.
Rib Mountain Bowmen is the Wausau Areas premium archery club nestled in the hills just north/west of the Village of Maine.

The goal of the club is to develop and create a spirit of good fellowship in all archers by providing facilities for practice and proficiency as well as encouraging the use of archery for harvesting legal game species. With the amazing comradery and access to the ranges 24 hours a day 7 days a week, RMB members can expect to expand their archery family and their love for the sport.

Facility

The facility sits on 40 wooded acres and consists of the following:

• Clubhouse with bathrooms, kitchen, tables with seating, and bar
• 20-yard indoor range with 18 lanes
• 70-yard outdoor range
• 28-target 3D range on improved trails
• Campsite with grassed area for tents and multiple power stations for campers

RMB members invest many hours supporting the surrounding community and maintaining the club’s building and grounds.

Community Outreach initiatives

RMB hosts multiple shoots and clinics annually where the club, provides all equipment needed and club members providing personal assistance and training.  Examples include the following:

•  Hosting shooting events for schools and youth groups such: John Muir Middle school, Wausau Alternative High School, Rural Virtual Academy(RVA), Youth Heritage days at Wausau School forest, and scouting troops
• Badges and Bullseyes shoot where local law enforcement partners with social services to provide underprivileged youths with positive opportunities
• The Sports Show at the Patriot Center
• Hosted Arrowing Down Cancer and Honor Flight shoots, both of which all proceeds were donated to the cause
• Competitive events such as hosting the Badger State Games archery events, the National Field Archery Sectional Tournament, Chase Outdoors shoot, and many others.
